Expositions

To ‘expose’ means to make something visible, but also to subject it to external influences: light, radiation, judgement, attention.

Expositions is a choreographic structure performed by seven dancers. The performers on stage have different attitudes towards dance and improvisation, but are united by a shared score – a set of tasks within which they improvise. They operate between fixed conditions and the agency that can be practised within them. The performance sets out the rules of engagement but leaves it to the performers to decide how to navigate them, revealing their choices, hesitations, and moments of disorientation.

Expositions also explores the relationships between a static image and the loss of its stability. What makes a movement, a pose, or an action noticeable? Does the eye function like light on film in analogue photography? How long does it take for the shape of the body to take on meaning? What flickers appear in the spaces in between? Expositions, which opens Polish Dance Platform Wrocław 2026, serves as a warm-up for perceiving movement.

The performance offers a space for practice – not only to those on stage, but also to the audience – in discerning differences, changes, and tensions without the need to immediately recognize and name them.

She also lectures in the Social Arts programme at the University of

She holds a degree in choreography from the School for New Dance Development (SNDO) in Amsterdam; she also studied at London Contemporary Dance School at The Place, and graduated in cultural studies from the Institute of Polish Culture. She was awarded the Grażyna Kulczyk Research Scholarship, which led to the creation of the publication ‘What do I do when I dance? Starting from action’ – an artistic research project exploring dance improvisation through an autoethnographic lens.

Marek Gluziński is a performance artist working at the intersection of physical theatre and experimental choreography. His research explores masculinity through the project Kryzys Wieku Męskiego (The Male Midlife Crisis). As a dance and performance curator, his credits include the Free Body Music series (2011–2012), Taniec w Imparcie (2017–2019), the Z Polski festival in San Sebastián (2016), and the ongoing Choreotopie series at the Grotowski Institute.

He has co-founded the Wrocław Dance Initiative, the Studio Matejka physical theatre laboratory, the Wrocław Theatre Offensive, and Akcja Kultura.
