Agnieszka Jachym
Agnieszka Jachym is a dancer and choreographer. After obtaining her professional dancer’s diploma in 2012, she trained in Germany with Temporäre Theater before joining Tanzcompagnie Giessen in 2014. Her dance theatre work “Getto krakowskie” premiered at Teatr Nowy in Kraków in 2018.
Between 2019 and 2021, she worked at the Polish Dance Theatre as a dancer and coordinator of the EU project ‘CLASH! When classic and contemporary dance collide and new forms emerge’, also co-creating the choreography “[dis]solution” for Balletto di Roma.
Since 2021, she has collaborated with Sasha Waltz & Guests, performing in “In C”, “SYM-PHONIE MMXX”, “Kreatur”, “Beethoven 7” and “Sacre”.
In 2022, she received the Creative Scholarship of the City of Kraków for “The HUNGRY Ones”, a performance that has since toured Czechia, Bulgaria, Serbia and Portugal. In 2024, Jachym directed “United States of Solidarity” for the European Solidarity Centre in Gdańsk. She is currently in post-production on her short dance film “Room of Pleasure”.
